The Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) is a voluntary humanitarian organization to protect human life and health based in India. It is part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, and so shares the fundamental principles of International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. The society's mission is providing relief in times of disasters, emergencies and promoting health and care of vulnerable people and communities. It has a wing called Youth Red Cross Society especially for College students to bring social awareness.

Social Consciousness and Commitment are an integral part of the College vision. Youth Red Cross Wing of the College was inaugurated during the academic year 2011-12. It organizes various activities such as Blood Donation Camps, First Aid Training Programmes, Blood Screening Camps,  Visit to Blood Banks, visit to Orphanages and so on.The Youth Red Cross is the most important constituent of its parent organization “Indian Red Cross” which was formed in 1863 by Jean Henry Dunant. It is a group movement organized at the initial stages for students between 18 and 25 years of age within the college(s).Under the guidance of the Officer In-charge the students are trained and encouraged to manage the affairs of the group and organize activities to instill in them leadership qualities.
