History

TheDepartment of commerce is one of the oldest Departments in The Govt. P.G.College Bemetara. The Undergraduate programme was started in the year 1982. ThePostgraduate programme was also started in the year 1982.

Vision

Thevision of the department of Commerce is to upgrade performance standards in the field of Accountancy inorder to be a leading department in the area of Bemetara district as well asDurg Division. The department of Commerce is engaged togenerate skilled mind  of commerce   and management for every comer of knowledgebased society. We also commit to create a new learning environment that willencourage their intelligence for problem solving and exploring subjects byusing multiple representations of the Accounts content. Creation of knowledgebased society is our primary vision. Our next step vision is to produce bothapplied and basic Accounting knowledge. The Departmentaims at upliftment of overall academic standards of both teachers and students,to make the Department of Commerce a centre of excellence. The Department everyyear produces 40 post graduate commerce students
